At Colby Trail Doodles we raise our pups in our home with love and care from the moment they are born. We are a small family breeder located in Southern California and we really focus on having only a few litters a year so we can enjoy every moment with raising our children alongside our puppies, and finding that balance. We believe having healthy parents is a crucial part in breeding ethically and responsibly, so each of our dogs are fully health tested before being cleared to breed which includes: (OFAs – heart, elbows, patellas, hips, eyes, Pennhip – measures the laxity of the hip joints, as well as running a full DNA genetic panel that screens for over 200 genetic diseases that each breed is prone to). We do this to ensure the health of our parent dogs and the health of all of our puppies that go home to their forever families. In addition, we temperament test each of our puppies before they are chosen, so families can better determine which pup will be the right match based on their needs and the puppies needs. Our puppies are raised on an advanced puppy curriculum which we customize based on what benefits our puppies the most. This includes ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) as well as ESI (Early Scent Introduction) exposure to teach them that the world is safe, people are kind, and dogs are friendly.
